Centre for Earth Resources Research and Management (CERRM) was established in 17 July 2008. The main objectives of CERRM are to meet local demand, especially the industry, particularly in the sub-field of structural integrity and earth resources.
CERRM established to create a one-stop-centre for research and consultancy, building expertise (poll of expertise) in key areas civil engineering and environmental resources in a planned and systematic, made CERRM as a reference point in the civil and environmental engineering at the Eastern Zone of Peninsular Malaysia, and took an active part in economic activity in the East Coast Economic Corridor (ECER).
CERRM vision is to be a world class centre in management for engineering and technology of Earth Resources. The focus is on providing high quality services and research in earth resources for sustainable development in order to achieve its objectives.
CERRM focuses on research and consultations within the area of engineering, environmental and natural resources. The vast domestic earth and earth resources provide abundance opportunities for this research centre to grow.
Supports within the university itself and the government in general, this centre is surely capable to uphold the challenges in order to achieve the premium centre status.
CERRM staff is headed by a Director. The Director is assisted by Deputy Director, Research Officer and Administrator.
