Centre for Earth Resources Research & Management (CERRM) was established on 17th July 2008. The main objective of its establishment is to fulfil the local needs particularly of the industry, the sub-field of structural integration and earth resources.
CERRM was established as a one-stop-centre for activities related to research, consultancy, and pool of expertise in the major fields of civil engineering and earth resources in a well-planned and systematic manner in order to enable CERRM to be the point of reference in Civil Engineering and Earth Resources in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia and play an active role in economic activities in the East Coast Economic Region (ECER).
Its vision is to become a world-class centre in the field of Technology Management and Earth Resources Engineering. Its main focus is to provide high quality services and conduct research related to earth resources for continuous development in order to achieve the objective of the establishment of the centre.
CERRM concentrates on research and consultancy in the fields of engineering, environment and earth resources. Such vast earth resources enable the Centre to move forward in its development plan. With the support from the University and the Government, it is envisaged that the Centre will be able to overcome the challenges in achieving the status of a Premium Centre.
CERRM is led by a Director who is assisted by a Deputy Director, Research Officers and Administrative Personnel.
